Lasik Vision Correction – My Personal Experience

Moreover, intralase lasik is the latest lasik technology meant for lasik vision correction. In other laser surgeries, a blade called as microkeratomes is used to lift a portion of cornea. In intralase lasik LASIK, another laser is used to make a flip off the cornea. In this method, there is full control of cornea flap. Therefore, I’ve opted for INTRALASE LASIK laser vision correction.

The next day they asked me to come down to the lasik eye center for surgery. After paying the requisite amount, they called me to into the operation theater. The doctor asked me to lie down on the lasik machine. First he administered local anesthetic drops and then using some equipment he held my eye lids widely open. He asked me to stare at a red light. My vision became blurred and then I felt numb.

With some laser, the surgeon opened a flap on cornea and another laser is used to correct my vision. Sometimes I felt some pressure on my eyes but I didn’t felt any sort of pain. The whole process took 5-10 minutes for the right eye and the same procedure was repeated on the left eye. Then they took me to another room and asked me lie down on a bed. After 15 minutes, they asked me to get up and checked my eyes in another machine and told me that everything is OK. They instructed me to keep my eyes closed for 48 hours.

The lasik eye surgeon prescribed some eye drops. Out of them, Moxifloxacin and Fluorometholone ophthalmic drops have to be administered in both the eyes every 1 hour on the first day followed by 1 drop every two hours for six days. Then, I returned home with the assistance of my friend.

10 minutes after the surgery, I felt burning sensation in my eyes. I took a pain killer tablet and the pain subsided after 30 minutes. I’m still feeling some discomfort, burning sensation, watering as if some foreign body has entered my eyes. I hope I would be all right by tomorrow morning. Hope you would be benefited with my personal experience on new lasik eye correction.
