Yahoo – A Reseller Of Google Ads

After the Microsoft – Yahoo talks failed, and then the later announced that it will run Google Ads along side Yahoo search results. This deal adds additional revenue of $800 million a year to Yahoo Inc. As per the agreement, Google Ads will be shown in the Yahoo search results in US and Canada.

Though this deal will not come into effect immediately, sources say that this will take a minimum of 3-4 months period after getting clearance from U.S Justice Department.

Google has almost two-thirds share in search engine market mainly in US and Canada. Even most of the Search Engine Optimization experts feel that this alliance will do harm to Yahoo in the long run.

Trade analysts say this as a bad business decision that strengthens Google. Instead of giving a competition, Yahoo has agreed this deal simply for money. Google – Yahoo strategic deal will give more than 90% of the search ad market to Google. Finally time will only tell where this deal is heading towards?
